I am always amazed that our phones are devices that we all use so frequently, yet still, there are so many hidden treasures. Today we are taking a look at some amazing iPhone tricks that can make your day just that much brighter and productivity that much better.
1. Notification Hacks
When you are on the notifications screen on your iPhone, and you swipe your finger from right to left on a notification message you will have options on how to handle the message based on the type of notification. An email, for example, provides the opportunity to archive or reply right from the notifications screen. How cool is that? Take a minute and try the different notification types you receive on your phone!2. Battery Life
Inside the iPhone settings, Apple has provided a “Battery” menu. Go ahead and give it a try. What it does is showcase the apps that are not only using battery consumption but at what percentage over a specified period. Tap on a particular app and it will show you the exact time and amount that app has used up your battery time. How cool is that, now you can see what is draining your battery and if not overly important you can turn the app off to save battery life.3. Message Details
Have you ever gone to find a photo you sent to someone via text message, only to find the 10,000 photos you have taken in the meantime? No worries, you do not need to browse through all of your photos, only check the message details for the contact you sent the picture too. Open up that contact, click the upper right where it says “Details” and scroll down and you will see attachments you have sent to that contact.4. & 5. Location Settings
Send My Current Location: You know the scenario, your trying to meet up with a friend or colleague at a local coffee shop but can’t seem to locate them correctly. Just tap on “Send My Current Location” to share your exact location via text message with a map pin that shows your current location. Share My Location: Similar to the previous feature, Share My Location allows you the ability to track continuously where someone is, or their phone at any given time. Consider a family vacation where you decide to split up and enjoy different activities. With the Share, My Location feature on you will be able to track your family members while they are out and about, making it easy to catch back up when it is time, or just know where they are for safety purposes.6. Video/Audio Messages
Inside of the message feature is the ability to send a picture, but did you know that if you hold down the camera icon located to the left of the text box, it will allow you to record a video or snap a photo right inside of the text message? Well, now you do! Additionally, on the right-hand side when you hold down the microphone icon you can record voice only and quickly send a voice response all right inside the message! Inside of your phone Settings > Messages > Audio Messages and you can set your audio message to expire after a specified amount of time.7. Hands-Free Siri
iPhone users know that when you hold down the home button, Siri will respond and be ready to assist you but did you know, that you can adjust your iPhone settings and enable voice command for Siri? Yes, you simply wake Siri by saying “Hey Siri” and she is ready to assist you hands-free! Have fun with that!
