Caroline prepares for a visit to the grocery store with the Smartshopper, a digital shopping list maker. Simply press record and say the name of the item you want and Smartshopper’s voice recognition program will enter the item. Smartshopper then saves your grocery list so you can add items throughout the week. When it’s time to head off to the grocery store simply hit print and get a totally legible shopping list. The Smartshopper can even sort your list into logical categories for convenient shopping, so no more back tracking at the store because you forgot an item.

There is no word in Vista, I am looking for a word program that is compatible with Vista.
I found this one downfall of vista.
re: word in Vista
Mabelle, Vista is just the operating system. Like Windows XP before it, you'll still need to add applications such as Microsoft Word or the Open Office suite. Both are compatible with Vista.

re: Vista & Nero
Check the Nero website http://www.nero.com to see if the version you have is Windows Vista compatible. There appear to be issues with version 7 and older. Nero also has a technical support hotline that you can call for a fee:

hey steve i want to buy a
hey steve i want to buy a laser printer and that can print good photo quality under $300 can u tell me which printer is worth it....
re: hey steve i want to buy a
Unfortunately, you're talking about two different printers. Colour laser printers work very well for business correspondence, marketing materials, or any content featuring spot colour. You can definitely print photos with them, but you won't get the same quality that you will from a good inkjet photo printer, and you won't be able to use the wide range of photo papers that are available for inkjets. Cost per print on colour lasers can also be high.

new printer & vista
is canon pixmamp140 a good printer for photos and reg home printing
re: new printer & vista
The Canon Pixma MP140 has been discontinued, and I believe the replacement model is the MP160. From my experience with Canon bubblejets, either one should be a good perfomer for the price category they're in.

Vista Problem with Disk Check
I have a HP Vista, and can't seem to do a hard disk check, I go to computer to C Drive and to properties, tools, and click on both blocks in Error Checks and Schedule for a scan disk for the next time I restart my computer, but when I restart it never starts it just reboots to my desktop, even if I shut down for the night I still have the same problem.... any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it...Thanks.
re: Vista Problem
Your best bet is to check out Microsoft's website for support. Here is a link to their Windows Vista Solution Centre: http://support.microsoft.com/ph/11732 . It also tells you how to contact one of their support professionals.
